On another note, I saw this guy in Taylor Swift’s band (pssh!) playing what I can only guess would be called a banjolin! Because it was a banjo body with a mandolin neck! I was pretty impressed.

First of all, it’s called a mandolin, and background vocals are either called harmony, or bgv (or bgvox, if you prefer).
